Our Family Based Immigration Law Program possesses a Management team that is comprised of experienced legal professionals dedicated to serving our community.
We have a Program Director with over 20 years of experience, a skilled Immigration Law attorney, a Legal Lead, a Program Manager complemented with Administrative support. This team brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to ensure the smooth and effective operation of our programs.
DOJ Accredited Immigration Counselors
Providing Exceptional Legal Assistance
Working with laws and regulations of the US Department of Immigration and Naturalization Services and the Us State Department, IRR’s Immigration Counselors conduct interviews and counsels clients to determine eligibility for immigration legal rights and benefits. Guidance to obtain necessary documentation is provided and our Immigration Counselors assist with filing required applications, petitions and forms with proper courts.
Our DOJ Accredited Immigration Counselors are able to partially represent clients before the US Department of Justice, Board of Immigration Appeals, or Department of State in the course of providing legal services.
Immigration SERVICE ASSISTANTS
Supporting the Legal Team
Immigration Service Assistants assist the Immigration Department and its clients with many of the needed steps in obtaining Citizenship, DACA, and Legal Permanent Residency – particularly for family reunification. Documents client information completes intake forms and applications.
ISA’s inform clients of documents required by immigration to file immigration applications and where/how to obtain those documents and ISA’s possess knowledge of Federal immigration and naturalization laws, regulations and procedures.
Outreach & Education Team
Empowering Our Communities
Through education, language acquisition and legal status acquisition, we work to expand opportunities for refugees and immigrants and empower their communities to achieve long-term success in the United States.
IRR is committed to helping Los Angeles-area vulnerable immigrants and refugees achieve self-sufficiency, family unity, and assimilation through exceptional legal services. To achieve these goals, IRR conducts Outreach and Education Workshops which empower immigrants
Safe Release Support Program
Reuniting Children with Families
The Safe Release Program supports sites that assist families during the initial reunification phases and are based in the local community, so they can build upon this relationship of trust and support and walk with caregivers and children toward long-term integration.
SRS Sites perform background checks on potential guardians to ensure that children are reunited into safe and secure homes. In addition to conducting the required fingerprint background check, the SRS staff walk caregivers through the federal reunification process.
Refugee Reception & Placement
Welcoming Refugees
Our Reception & Placement program is focused on supporting newly-arrived refugees by providing them with case management and social services including health access, educational access, employment, culturally-sensitive guidance and connecting to local agencies to ease their adjustment into our society.

Fueling Our Mission
Volunteers play a crucial role in the success and sustainability of non-profit organizations. Their impact can be seen in various dimensions, namely enhanced services, advocacy and awareness, and the freeing up or limited resources so that we can focus delivering exceptional legal services.
In many cases, Volunteering provides individuals with opportunities to develop new skills and gain experience, which can be beneficial for their personal and professional growth. This can lead to a more skilled workforce in the non-profit sector.
